Every few years a new disease du jour appears on the front pages of news pages. 2016 has been the year of Zika virus. What is known at the moment is that Zika is a virus that, when a woman contracts it, is suspected of causing severe birth defects such as microcephaly.
While this is a serious concern and the threat appears to become more real with every new discovery, just like Lyme disease, the scariest fact is that we don’t know what we don’t know. For that reason, we will be posting new resources on this page as news develops.
